3/9/10 Looking out side, it looks like Spring is here. That is April showers are here. The rain isn't putting a damper on the housing market. 2010 is off to a very good start. The number of homes on the market has stayed about the same. Today we have 228 homes for sale. The number of homes under contract and closed are getting ahead of last year. The interest rates are still very low. First Time Buyer NIFA loans are at 4.45%. Regular fixed rate loans are 5 1/8%. There is grant money, up to $4,000.00, also available for first time buyers. With the grant money and the tax credit, a buyer can get $12,000.00 to buy their first home. Just remember the grant money is only available for a short period on a first come first serve basis. The tax credit ends on April 30. If you are thinking of buying, or know someone that is thinking of buying, the clock is ticking. You better hurry. Here is a list of my listings. 1. 302 E. 12th.
